Job title: Project Manager

Reporting to: Senior Project Manager

Role function:
The post holder will be part of the Action Renewables Project Management team, carrying out work activities to provide support to the Senior Project Manager. The post holder will have skills in word processing and spreadsheet management, time management, report preparation and an understanding of renewable technologies.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • To be a member of the Action Renewables (AR) project management team
  • To engage with clients in fulfilment of duties
  • Provide project management and administrative support to a technical project team to include client query management/data verification and submission/technical report writing, scheduling and attending site visits and other project related office duties
  • Prepare reports and information as required
  • To maintain and develop Action Renewables’ relationship with the Statutory Agencies, NIE Networks, Ofgem and Electricity Supply Companies. Identify and act on areas of co-operation which help facilitate the deployment of renewables
  • Key Client Management: Provide back up to Senior Project Managers with client management
  • Business development: Identifying and engaging with potential clients
  • Occasionally represent AR at various stakeholder forums
  • Participate in other AR activities as required from time-to-time

Requirements for the role:


  • Third Level Qualification or 6 months' experience in an energy-related field
  • High-level experience of IT systems including Microsoft Office packages
  • Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency practices
  • Experience of client engagement and account management
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of the Renewables Obligation legislation


  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject area
  • Full driving license and access to a car for business purposes
